Creative Process

We would like you to think of us as your in-house creative production, as well as we consider you a partner in our production process. You will be involved in every step of the way, giving feedback and ideas, thumbs up or thumbs down. And this timeline below will be a backbone of our creative relationship.

In this journey, we will learn fundamentals of your business, details of your project, your goals, and your audience. We will draft ideas and sketches, debunk complex topics, craft concepts and screenplay, ensuring everything is well organized to produce the video you are satisfied with. And, we listen to your feedback each step of the way, giving our best to meet all your revision requests before each step is complete.

Each project is special and these steps don’t apply to all. We are flexible with our workflow and ready to integrate into an ongoing project as well, no matter the stage it’s in.

  • BRIEFING & BRAINSTORM

    Our communication can be conducted any way comfortable to you – email, phone or video call. We can have as many meetings or conversations as needed to make the solid foundation.

    Main topics to talk about:

    Your Content – What do you wish to present or explain? Let us know your ideas, pop questions, ask for suggestions! We can start a new project or handle a part of animation production process in progress.

    Our Mission – What do you wish to achive with this video? Would you like to educate viewers, gather new buyers, increase sales, entertain…?

    Target Audience – Who is the primary audience for the video? Who are the new audiences you’d like to attract?

    Style – Do you prefer any special kind of aesthetics or tone? Would you like to hear our suggestions? This is the good time to come up with styling references or the moodboard. We are open for your input and will be happy to share ours.

    Format and Placement – Do you need a 4K video or a special format for web, social media or built-in displays? Let us know!

    Video Lenght – Is it predefined, limited or content defined?

    Production Period – We’d like to hear your deadlines for the finalization of the video or any part of the process? We will restrict our creative ideas to only those that can meet your timeline.

    Budget – Total costs depend on the quantity and style of design and animation, as well as the complexity of the featured content. If you have limits, let us know, we will find the best solution for your budget!

  • IDEAS & ESTIMATES

    Here is where we lay our first drafts – ideas for the script and style, sketches, examples or the moodboard.. whatever is necessary to communicate our vision of your video!

    We will also provide estimates on production period and costs.

    This part is free of charge.

  • CONCEPT & STYLE FRAMES

    By the guidelines agreed in the previous step, our designers will craft one or more example designs or style frames, giving you the first glance on how your video will look. The design can be tweaked until it looks just right. Depending on your needs, we can provide more styling concepts, as well as more samples of each style. Please have in mind each takes extra time in production process.

    Depending on your needs and type of animation, we can produce animation examples (proof of concept) as well.

    Costs of the style frames ranges from .. to .. per image, depending on content and style.

    All concept material that is going to be used in the video will not be charged again!

  • SCRIPT

    Based on the script drafts we agreed on, our writer will write the complete video script or adapt the one you already have. We will work together with you until everything lays in place.

    A short or a simple script is free of charge. For longer, more complex scripts we can offer a chapter for free as a proof of concept.

  • STORYBOARD

    Adding sketches or stock art to your video script will get you one step further to visualizing what the final video will look like. Also, it gives us both a clearer picture to make detailed tweaks to the script and voice over text, as well as the storyboard sketches.

    Depending on the type of project and content, the price of the storyboard sketches can vary from free to __ per image.

    The storyboard isn’t always necessary to make. There are situations when we can skip to making the designboard directly, mainly when design is simpler, or more complex than average, making the storyboard sketches either redundant, or not precise enough to show the crucial content.

  • DESIGNBOARD

    Our designer and illustrator will use the script directives and storyboard sketches as guidelines to making final design images and elements for the animation. You will receive the designboard that will give you the final insight on the future video. And an oportunity for final tweaks on design.

    Costs of the final design ranges from .. to .. per image, depending on content and style.

  • VOICE OVER

    Having in mind your voice-over style prefences and the needs of the project, we will provide a few options for a vocal talent. Or you can provide one yourself.

    The cost depends on the choice of vocal talent.

  • ANIMATION PRODUCTION

    It is our animators task to bring the stage that is perfectly set by now, to life! We will present the work done part by part, so we can perfectly align our further steps by your feedback, as well as make all the necessary revisions for each preview we send.

    Average costs of 2D animation range from __ to __ per 30sec, depending on complexity and the content. 3D animation costs from __ to __ per 10sec.

  • SOUND DESIGN

    While the animation production is still ongoing, we will start designing the sound fx, at the same time providing you with optional music soundtracks as the final building blocks for complete experience!

    Your Sketch-22 video is now finished, ready to hit the audiences!
